Mid Week Post - Week 9 (Term 3)

Kia Ora Whānau,

This week is going by so fast! How is it already Wednesday?

Positive Affirmations:

We have been learning some positive affirmations.

  • I am kind

  • I am brave

  • I am caring

  • I am safe

  • I am love

  • I look out for others

A good way for them to remember these is to keep them fresh in their minds. You could help them say them as positive affirmations in the morning or before bed. Our mission is to build our children to be strong, self-confident, and independent children ready to take on the world.

Last Friday - Te Reo Māori Learning and Sign Language.

Last week we had Te Wiki O Te Reo Māori and we learnt lots of new kupu. We also learnt sign language to go along with the song Pepeha by Six60.

Here is a video of us giving it a go! - CLICK ON THE PHOTO TO WATCH OUR VIDEO

Arrival of a Baby Girl

One of the families in our class has been blessed with the arrival of a new baby girl. Congratulations to the Tauiliili-Pelesasa Family on the arrival of your gorgeous baby girl! You have a very excited and proud big brother in Kākano 7 and all his friends are so excited for you all.

2022 - Class Placement Form

You also may have noticed a form that was in your child's bookbag. This is a form inviting you to provide some input into your child’s class placement for 2022. This form is optional but if you do decide to fill it out please send it back to school in their bookbags by Friday the 1st of October 2021 and I will pass them on.

Our younger students tend to move with many of their current classmates when placed into classes for the next school year. Children are generally classed as Year 0 if they commenced school after 1 April this year, and Year 1 if they commenced school between 1 April 2020 and 31 March 2021. Students who are currently in Year 0 will be in Year 1 next year.

Reminders for the rest of this week:

Thursday - Normal School Day

Friday - Library Day / Sausage Sizzle and Juicie Day
