Mid Week - Week 5 (Lockdown)
Wednesday 25th August 2021 - Term 3 - Week 5
Kia Ora,
It was so good to catch up with you guys today. Only had a few faces missing but I have seen the awesome work you have been sharing with me.
Last night Mrs. Mines posted on everyones Educa Account a bit of a challenge. Out of all of our eggs that we had in the incubator, 4 have hatched and only two have names so far. That means that we need two more names for the other two. If you think of any names that you might like the chicks to be called, go onto Educa - find the post and write the names in the comments box. The teachers will be picking the two names on Friday.
I just wanted to stress again...
- You are not required to share your learning with us but I love seeing what you have been getting up to and being able to write a message back. (I even made personalised digital stickers - have you seen them?)
- Learning is in everything we do. There are so many different ways that the children can be exposed to learning - what we post up for your child is an option and can be used at your own discretion. Other ways the children learn is through play, cooking, social interactions with family, drawing, going for walks/exercise, gardening, creating and so much more.
- Do what keeps you and your child happy. Lockdown can be very stressful for both the children and the parents. Work life, school life and social life can be a big load. Do what works for you and your family.
- If you need any additional support or something is not working please get in contact with me via email: shaylad@stmarysrotorua.school.nz. If you know of any families or are struggling for food please also get in touch with me, we have some simple food packages that we can make up with food we have at School that we can give out if need be.
